Painting & Surface Preparation

• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer

• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment

• Complete interior and exterior painting projects for commercial, multi-family, and residential properties

• Paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, and other surfaces

• Apply specialized coatings and finishes as required

• Ensure even coverage, clean lines, and professional finish quality

• Match and mix paint colors accurately

• Apply caulking and sealants where needed

Project Management

• Review project specifications and requirements with clients and management

• Estimate materials needed for projects

• Plan work sequences to maximize efficiency

• Complete projects within established timeframes

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Protect furniture, floors, and fixtures with drop cloths and masking

• Conduct final walk-throughs and touch-ups

Equipment & Safety

• Operate and maintain painting equipment including sprayers, ladders, and scaffolding

• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations

• Use proper PPE (personal protective equipment)

• Ensure proper ventilation when working with paints and chemicals

• Safely work at heights using ladders and lifts

Communication & Collaboration

• Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, and team members

• Provide updates on project progress

• Identify and report any issues or additional work needed

• Work independently or as part of a team as required

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional painting experience

• Proficiency in both interior and exterior painting techniques

• Experience with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment

• Knowledge of surface preparation methods

• Understanding of different paint types and their applications

• Ability to match colors and achieve quality finishes

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Own basic painting tools (brushes, rollers, tape, etc.)

• Physical ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs

• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

• Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred:

• Experience in commercial and multi-family property painting

• Knowledge of specialty finishes (faux, textured, epoxy, etc.)

• Drywall repair and texture matching skills

• Pressure washing experience

• Experience with apartment turnovers

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• OSHA safety certification
